Locations in Portugal are rich and diverse, varying from the historical to the new and modern, from the wilderness of the north-east to the mountain regions in the centre and from the plains of the southern Alentejo region to the dramatic cliffs and protected coves of the Algarve. Of course, Portugal also has some of the most stunning beaches in Europe from wild dune covered to long sandy ones that stretch far into the distance. One of the advantages of Portugal’s size, is that all of this is easily accessible with the minimum amount of travel time.
